The Ancient Apiary of Mauri Mandiri

The Ancient Apiary of Mauri Mandiri was created for the Knave 2e Game Jam in 2024. It should be easy to convert for most OSR games, and some simple tweaks make it usable for most d20 games.

It is a module with a pulp-adventure motif and can be played as a one-shot or as part of a larger campaign.

Highlights of what the adventure offers:

• "Initiate or Interloper?" mechanic: depending on how the PCs act, the denizens of the dungeon respond differently to them.
• Light and shadow effect how the denizens might react, giving PCs interesting challenges and tactics.
• A giant phasing pangolin!
• Two new magic items: the Queen Bee Mask and the Cloak of the Hymenopterix!
• Two new powerful artifacts: the Royal Jelly Bath: which can heal all maladies and the Guru in Amber: the fossilized prophet of this mysterious sun temple whose relic may give your PCs visions that drive your story forward... or drive them mad (why not both?)
