thunder20 Rules Trifold

thunder20 is a barebones, genre neutral, classless TTRPG rules system. But it is ready for hacking, modifying, and kit-bashing for what works for your game.

Familiar mechanics:

• uses the "standard 6 Stats"
• uses a d20 for all challenge resolution
• Advantage/Disadvantage

Different/new mechanics:

• Roll under your Stat (no DCs to calculate) so it's roll low on a d20
• 3 Body Stats (Str, Dex, and Con) determine your Body Threshold and how much physical Strain you can take
• 3 Mind Stats (Int, Wis, Cha) determine your Mind Threshold and how much mental Stress you can take
• THUNDERSTRUCK! the way we determine special critical successes when rolling with advantage. Roll two natural 1's on the same Stat Check... BOOM!
